RDA is delighted to be working with BEIDS and grateful for their support.
This initiative will help to ensure that more people are riding safely and have the back up in place should there ever be an accident.
With a donation going to RDA for every registration, it's a win/win situation for all our supporters.
Ed Bracher Chief Executive, RDA
The RDA provides opportunities for therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities
RDA has some 18,000 volunteers helping 28,000 riders and of course the safety of all concerned is of paramount importance.
We have joined a growing number of organisations - including the British Horse Society, British Eventing, British Dressage, Endurance GB, and the BETA 2010 Innovation Safety and Security award winners Ride-Alert - to provide a dedicated 24/7 back up and support service for all riders, volunteers and horses.
The service, known as BEIDS (British Equestrian ID Service) provides unique ID wristbands, badges for riding hats and horse toggles which in the event of an incident, enable the emergency services to quickly receive medical details about the rider or volunteer and ensure that the family are contacted at the earliest opportunity. Horses are also easily identified and returned home.
Register your support for RDA when you join up, and BEIDS will automatically make a donation to us. Further donations will be made with every renewal.
BEIDS can be used 24-hours of every day so any RDA rider or volunteer, or any supporter of the RDA may use the BEIDS service to protect them wherever they are in the world no matter what they are doing.
Your registration with BEIDS helps others to help you exactly when you need it. Your BEIDS registration also helps the RDA with a direct financial contribution, to further support our riders and volunteers.
